Daveigh Elizabeth Chase (née Chase-Schwallier) was an American actress, voice actress, and singer. She was best known for her roles as Samantha Darko in the 2001 sci-fi thriller film Donnie Darko, Samara Morgan in the 2002 American horror film remake The Ring (which earned her the 2003 MTV Movie Award for Best Villain), and Rhonda Volmer in the HBO drama series Big Love (2006–2011).
For Disney, she provided the voice of Lilo Pelekai in the Lilo & Stitch franchise (except for Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, in which her good friend Dakota Fanning took her place). She also voiced Chihiro Ogino in the English dub of Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away and Joyce Summit in Fillmore!
