History

Erik Hellstrom uses the Spear of Destiny to summon Surtr from a volcano. A short time afterward, Surtr aids the Frost Giant in using the Spear to light the sky ablaze.

Trivia

• Surtr is named after the giant from the Norse mythology. He is said to make his home in Muspelhiem, where he assists in bringing about the end of the world using fire, similar to his role in the film.
