Candace and Doof see the same psychologist, who thinks their experiences may be connected.
Plot
The episode begins at the Danville Stadium, where Candace brings her mother to witness the public presentation. Dr. Mosley Shamai greets everyone and explains the bizarre sights that some of his clients believe to be true. He further explains that he has two clients who have no connection to each other and share a losing experience, but are somehow connected. He says that his first client had her brothers build some inventions, which somehow disappeared. The second client is an evil scientist who builds things that also disappear each day, but was always thwarted by a fighting Platypus with a fedora. Some of the audiences find this unbelievable, but Dr. Shamai states he has the evidence after weeks of research.
Four weeks ago, Candace and Dr. Doofenshmirtz had the same therapist, who explained their situation, and they both mentioned Perry in their stories. Doofenshmirtz tells him that he built an inator regarding something, and then Candace explains how their brother's inventions disappear in the same manner. Dr. Shamai had a theory on how they were both connected somehow. Perry gets called by Major Monogram regarding Doofenshmirtz visiting a therapist, and to be careful around them both.
Following this lead, he interviews the Flynn-Fletcher family and their friends and then visits Doofenshmirtz, who demonstrates his inator that was inspired by heart with his sessions to him, that he built the self-destructing self-destructing-self-destruct-inator. Dr. Shamai was surprised to see Perry the Platypus was real and continued observing their scheme with Vanessa and Norm. As Doofenshmirtz is doing his script with Perry, he knocks his inator, which causes a ray to shoot somewhere. Doofenshmirtz says that it's like a mysterious force to do bad to someone else. At that moment, Candace quickly called Dr. Shamai to say that the mysterious force had made her brothers' latest invention disappear around the same time.
Dr. Shamai connects this with Doofenshmirtz's inator, and the disappearance of the boys' latest invention, thus making a string theory conspiracy board. He uses all of the information that he gathered from Candace and Doofenshmirtz, which includes Perry as the missing link to their connection to both of his clients. He plans to make a public presentation out of his theory and evidence regarding the mysterious force with excitement.
In the present day, Dr. Shamai tells everyone that his first client's brothers are building a giant disco blimp, and he has also invited his second client to bring his inator to everyone to see. As Phineas, Ferb, and their friends dance in a giant Disco Sphere, to help Baljeet with his childhood fear of the boogeyman by dancing it out of him.
Perry is on his way to the stadium, as Major Monogram in panic orders Perry to stop Dr. Shamai as the latter's discovery could expose Perry's secret identity and the agency. Perry quickly attacks Doofenshmirtz by snagging him on the sandbag's rope and flying him up into the rafters. Doofenshmirtz falls to his inator that shoots and misfires, bouncing and reflecting across two satellites. The satellites create three shots as the first one destroys the compiled evidence and the inator, and the second shot hits the disco blimp's engine, forcing the kids to jump out with their parachute pants to safety.
While Doofenshmirtz escapes upon seeing the evidence and the inator being destroyed, Dr. Shamai was shocked to see that the evidence is gone, and the audience laughed as they only saw Perry on the stage. Dr. Shamai asks Perry to show his fedora, but Perry pretends to be a mindless pet and escapes. Dr. Shamai then points out the disco blimp in the sky, but everyone in the audience accidentally hits their bag on the floor, just as the third shot finally hits the disco blimp, destroying it completely.
Upon witnessing the destruction of the blimp, Dr. Shamai screams and starts to go insane, thinking that everyone did not exist and that he's being delusional. As a result, Shamai ends up being taken into custody by a police officer, presumably to be institutionalized. Linda suggests that Candace get her a different therapist, but Candace refuses as she feels great about that someone else went through what she went through. However, it might be suggested otherwise as Candace twitches her eye as she hugs her mother.
