Evil Alex is an evil version of the original Alex Russo that she created of herself only meaning to make herself nicer after being told by everyone to be more responsible as the family wizard. She is the titular secondary antagonist of The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex.
History
After Alex gets fed up with her family saying she needs to grow up, she decides to cast a spell to remove all her bad parts of her personality. However instead of destroying her bad parts, Alex accidentally creates a duplicate version of herself which manages to break out the mirror she is trapped in. Harper and Alex return to the loft to find her evil side having escaped and gone through the Wizard Speedpass to Italy, so they decide to follow her.
Upon arriving in Italy, Alex tries to convince her parents that she has changed and got rid of all her bad parts, but they don't believe her. Evil Alex then turns up and traps Max in a bead of her parents shortly after. Evil Alex reveals she has an evil plan and is working with Dominic, Justin's friend from WizTech, to take over the world to clean the world of mortals. Normal Alex and Harper follow Evil Alex and Dominic to the leaning tower of Pisa, where Alex realises her evil counterpart is planning to trap her boyfriend Mason in the bracelet as well.
Both Alex and Evil Alex find Mason and normal Alex tries to convince her that her evil persona is arriving soon so has to leave, although Evil Alex turns up and manages to convince Mason that she is the normal Alex. Noticing what Alex is wearing, Mason falls for Evil Alex's tricks, who takes him to the Tower of Pisa. Evil Alex reveals herself and traps Mason in the bracelet along with Harper and the Russos.
Evil Alex and Dominic cast a spell to turn all mortals into beads to trap them when Alex turns up and the two fight on the Jumbotron and in the Russo Loft, destroying the home. Back at the Tower of Pisa, Evil Alex and Dominic force Alex to use her magic to save her loved ones as he throws the bracelet over the building. Alex is able to save her family and releases them from the bracelet. Mason later fights Dominic in werewolf form but is knocked out, when Alex finds him upon returning to the tower. However, when Dominic tries to flirt with Alex, Mason attacks him and knocks him off the tower, killing him. Alex embraces Mason as Evil Alex reveals she survived Alex's magical attacks on her, and decides to use the device to take over the world now that Dominic is dead. Realising how bad her counterpart is, Alex decides to create her own spell to remove her magic as she knows it is the only way to destroy Evil Alex once and for all. Alex succeeds and Evil Alex is destroyed for good as Alex's magical abilities are removed from her, although she is later given her magic back from the council.
Trivia
- Evil Alex is techinally the third version of Alex Russo; the first when she used the duplicate spell on herself in "Crazy 10-Minute Sale”, and the second was when she brought a picture of herself wearing a dress for Harper’s fashion show to life using a magic printer in “Fashion Week”. The difference between all three is that the duplicate Alex only barks, and the one created from the printer is nice due to not having any of the real Alex’s bad parts, making Evil Alex the worst of all the duplicates.
- While Alex was dating Mason Greyback, Evil Alex was dating Dominic, which made Mason believe Alex was cheating on him.
