This article is about the re-branded building for the New Avengers. For the original headquarters for the Avengers, see Avengers Tower.

We're running out of space already? That's impossible, this place is enormous.

The Watchtower (formerly Avengers Tower and Stark Tower) is a re-designed version of Tony Stark's tower, now owned by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Background

In 2015[1], Tony Stark sold the Avengers Tower when he decided to move the Avengers headquarters to the New Avengers Facility. Over the years, no one knew exactly who had now owned the building as the years went by, until it was later revealed that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine had brought the headquarters and renamed it to The Watchtower.

Appearances

Spider-Man: Far From Home

The new furbished building is seen being built when Spider-Man swings by times square in 2024.

Thunderbolts*

For the first time in years, by 2027, the Watchtower is featured in the film, where it is revealed that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine now owns the headquarters and invites the Thunderbolts to the tower. Realizing Val's true intentions, the Thunderbolts travel to New York to confront her and take her in. They arrive at the Watchtower and fight the security before Val lets them in upstairs. When they get to the top floor, Val greets them and introduces them to Sentry, whom she has turned Bob into. When Bob refuses to fight them, he is manipulated by Val into attacking his friends. Sentry becomes too powerful for the Thunderbolts, forcing them to leave the building. He then grabs Val for making him fight Yelena and the others and chokes her until Mel arrives to stop him. After the Void is stopped, Val introduces the Thunderbolts to the press and renames them as the New Avengers. Fourteen months later, the Thunderbolts have made the Watchtower their headquarters and witness a spaceship entering Earth's atmosphere, revealing to belong to the Fantastic Four.
