"Pixie Problem" is the second segment of the thirty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on July 12, 2019 and is the second segment of the eleventh episode of the second season.
Synopsis
Vee practices a new shrinking new spell when a pixie family visits the Scare B&B.
Plot
Vampirina, Oxana, Poppy, and Bridget are preparing the cottage for pixies Penny and Eve. Vampirina has been practicing the shrinking spell with Oxana, and they shrink a moonflower, which makes a perfect night light for pixies. Penny and Eve then arrive and thank the Hauntleys for letting them stay. They'd like to make some pixie pie, and Oxana knows where the ingredients are. She goes to get them while telling Vampirina and Poppy that if they need anything, Boris is cleaning the basement while Demi and Gregoria are in the kitchen.
Penny then plays soccer with Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget. However, it doesn't go as expected, as she states that she needs to watch out for troll feet. Vampirina states that Penny doesn't need to be big, as Vampirina decides to make everyone pixie-sized. Bridget is against the idea, but Vampirina states that it's just for the afternoon. They then become extra small like the pixies, and sing about what it's like to be that way.
As the fun continues, Edna announces that dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes. Poppy states that it's time to change back, but Vampirina states that she hasn't practiced that much, as she only knows the shrinking part of the spell. So, Penny brings a snail's shell to Poppy so Edna can hear her. Vampirina decides for them to get inside so that Demi and Gregoria can help them, and Penny promises they'll make it.
Wolfie then arrives and everyone dodges his slobber before he blows them away. Gregoria then calls him, and Wolfie lets loose tomatoes, and everyone hides behind a rock. However, it is actually a toad, and eventually, they grab dandelion petals to head to the door. However, wind pushes them to Edgar, who wonders what is going on when Edna calls him to set the table. Poppy hears this, and Penny calls ladybugs for the others to ride to the Scare B&B. They call for help, and Gregoria comes to open the door. She eventually does so, allowing Vampirina and her friends to head inside before it closes.
They call for help to no avail. Vampirina then turns into a pixie-pire to get to Chef Remy Bones, who attempts to swat her away. Vampirina apologizes for using the shrinking spell when she wasn't ready. Poppy and Bridget state that they've made it that far together, and after Poppy mentions it, Vampirina shrinks a muffin so that Demi notices her, Poppy, Bridget, and Penny. Edna then tells Poppy that dinner's ready, and Demi tells Oxana and Eve, who have just arrived, about the problem regarding Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget being pixie-sized. Vampirina apologizes, and Oxana states that she's learning, as one is not supposed to perform a spell until it is done perfectly. Edna then arrives, and after Demi tells her to do so, Eve makes Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget their normal size. Poppy thanks Vampirina, and states that there's nothing like a day at the Hauntley house. Later, after dinner, Vampirina tells Penny that for now, she'll practice her spells a little more, and is proud to be her vampire-sized self again.
