"The Magic Howl" is the first segment of the seventieth episode of Vampirina. It is the first segment of the twentieth episode of the third season. It premiered on February 22, 2021.
Synopsis
Dr. Paquette arrives at the B&B to give all the critters in the haunted house their routine check-ups and brings an expectant werewolf.
Plot
Poppy and Bridget try to get Wolfie to come from under the bed when Vampirina arrives with his skelly bone. She did so with her junior critter-narian training, as there's always a way for a pet to come out for his checkup. Dr. Paquette then arrives and knows Vampirina has been making sure all the critters in the Scare B&B are properly cared for. He mentions that the house has a lot of patients for him to see today, and he needs help with a critter named Luna, who is expecting werepuppies any day. Vampirina, Poppy, Bridget, and Demi are excited, unlike Gregoria.
Vampirina and hew friends go to take care of Luna. She mentions the different things Luna likes, and Dr. Paquette tells Vampirina to let Luna nap. The next morning, the werepuppies are born, and Vampirina and her friends notice it. They count thirteen werepuppies and think they are adorable. Dr. Paquette mentions that it only happens the day of a full moon. Dr. Paquette needs help when he goes to take care of the Mummyton's cat, who is about to have her littler of magical kittens. So, Vampirina and her friends decide to watch the werepuppies until Dr. Paquette gets back, and are told about what they need to do before they perform their magic howl, which is an enchanted song that gives them their magic as werewolves. Dr. Paquette warns Vampirina and her friends that if a pup isn't with his pack for the magic howl, that puppy would never be able to transform into a werewolf.
It is up to Vampirina and her friends to take care of the werepuppies and make sure they're taken care of. They make them clean and give them snacks. Wolfie then arrives, and Vampirina plays fetch with the werepuppies. However, Cosmo wanders off and digs deep in the garden with Demi chasing after him. Demi tells Vampirina about it, and the others notice. They go to find Cosmo when the werepuppies scatter everywhere. Vampirina gathers them and Poppy sees where Cosmo is. However, Demi fails to catch him, and Cosmo appears next to a mailman. Cosmo then escapes from everyone.
Vampirina worries about them never finding Cosmo as the other werepuppies are getting ready for their howl without Cosmo. With the moon starting to rise, Vampirina mentions that a pack's magic howl is a beautiful song, and that Cosmo can hear them so that he can come back to them. So, Vampirina and her friends give a mighty howl for Cosmo to reunite with the other werepuppies in time. All of the werepuppies reunite in time for them to perform their magic howl together and transform into werewolves. Poppy knows Vampirina is an amazing critter-narian. Vampirina decides to get the pack back home, where Dr. Paquette compliments the werewolves. Vampirina tells him it was a monster challenge to take care of a pack of thirteen werepuppies, and concludes that a critter-narian always finds a way. The werewolves perform another big howl.
